Mason and Markers

Today as Steve and I were talking Mason was up to something. Mason took a highlighter out and colored his shirt, shorts and skin. Man he is so fast!
(click on the picture above if you want to see the yellow on his shorts)
But he looks so cute, how am I suppose to discipline this? Two more days of Summer School! I cannot wait to be home with this all day EVERY day!!!

Rainy Day and Mason Took a Long Nap

I have found lots of creative blogs and I have been reading a lot of them. I love that I found them. Anyway, it inspired me to get creative. I took one of Steve's dress shirts that he no longer wears...
and turned it into a dress.

It does not lay right on the floor so I tried hanging it up.

No, it still hangs funny. When Steve gets home I will ask him to take a picture of me in it. :)

SO THANKFUL TO BE ALIVE!!!!!!

I was driving on I-70 to work this morning around 8 a.m.. I tried to get in the right lane but there was another car so I turned my wheel to the left. With the highway being wet I must have over corrected. My car went to the left then to the right across two lanes of traffic. I was headed straight for the guardrail. As my car went to the left again I let go of the wheel and took my foot off the pedals. My car did a 180 in the middle of I-70 at 8 a.m.! God was totally looking out for me because I did not hit any other cars or guardrails. I just reversed my car and drove away! God is absolutely AMAZING!!!!!!!

The Perfect Day (even with rain)

Today was the best day ever!
For breakfast Steve made us cinnamon rolls on the grill.
Boy were they yummy!!
After breakfast, Steve played hairdresser and cut Mason's hair.

I am not so sure Mason loves getting his hair cut.

He did a great job! (Both Steve and Mason)

We told Mason that he could jump in the lake once he was done with his haircut. It looked like it was getting ready to downpour so we started to go inside. Mason then reminds us that we promised to let him take a dip. Of course we had to fulfill our part of the deal. Steve took Mason down for a super quick dip!

Then it started to rain. :( We got lots of much needed work done around the house. Mason took a LONG nap and so did Mommy! Steve went fishing and caught a couple fish. It was AWESOME!!!!

After we were super productive. We packed up dinner and headed out on the lake. One of Mason's favorite things to do is "throw rocks in the waters". We could not have a perfect day with doing our favorite things. We threw rocks for awhile which allowed time for dinner to cook.
When dinner was ready we headed to our favorite spot. We parked at Waterfall Cove and ate our dinner! This cove has the best view of the sunset. It was a little early for sunset but we still ate an amazing dinner. Steve (and Mason too) love meat and potatoes. Again we could not have a perfect day with out our favorite things. We had the most delicious steak and potatoes. My mouth is watering just thinking of it.

Steve has always wanted to take Mason out on our Jet Ski.
So to close our perfect day we took a little ride. Mason loved it!
Actually to end our perfect day Mason watched a few minutes of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. He LOVES Mickey Mouse Clubhouse! Once Mason went to bed we sat on the patio and hung out, one of my favorite things.

This morning we were out on the patio and a bird dropped a little present in my coffee. I wonder if today will be a perfect day too?

Fry Daddy

Steve has always wanted his birthday to be in a summer/warmer month. His real birthday is Feb. 6th. So a few years ago he asked his mom and dad if he could change it to June 6th. :) This year is the third year that we have celebrated it in June. We invited a few people over to our house to help celebrate. Instead of bringing presents Steve prefers you bring something that can be fried. We fried EVERYTHING! This year we fried
cookie dough,
cinnamon rolls,
Twinkies, Fruit recipes
Oreos,
catfish,
mushrooms,
zucchini,
pickles, and
potatoes.
However, the kiddos we more into their Cheetos!

Thanks everyone for making it so special!
